Happy Halloween!

Happy Halloween everyone!
The children had a great day today and worked well this morning despite the Haunted House action in our hallway! I was very proud of them. Please take a minute to look through your child's plastic bag to see all their Halloween work. There are two Halloween booklets that they can finish at home as we ran out of time! They also brought home their Halloween witches that they worked on with their reading Buddies.
This week we are continuing to work on the different strategies we use in addition facts. Next week we will begin our unit on subtraction. I am encouraging the children to practise their number facts to 20 at home. We have a drill on them each day.
In language, we are working on a novel study about the book I just read to them called The Witches by Roald Dahl. We also finished watching the movie today. As well, we are reading from a wonderful set of anthologies, published by Nelson and company.
In social studies, we are continuing with our Traditions and Celebrations unit.
In science, we are continuing with the Liquids and Solids unit.
I would like to take this opportunity to thank all the Moms who helped make our party a success with all the treats, drinks, cups, plates and napkins! Thank you to Carola and Joanne for organizing everything.
Friday, November 4th, this week we have our pizza day. November 7th we have two birthdays on the same day! Happy Birthday to Avi Atkins and Chantel Hodgett!
Also, thank you for going on line to book your interview time. If you have not done so yet, please do so.
Thank you all for your continued support. Have a great evening!
